When making a violin, does soaking the wood in an alcoholic drink make it sound any better? - violin making
The violin is wood in an alcoholic drink, which sounds better than the violin with the same quality that are not soaked in beer / wine / whiskey / spirit drink?
& & Also, this is not related to the question, but what are the best modern violin brands do you recommend? I need a brand that is not as expenseive (less than $ 1500.00) SP Stradivari a modern manufacturer!

Answer 1) NOOOOOOO !!!!!!! Do not soak the wood alcohol or other solvents. They cut the wood and / or kill the voice of the violin.
2) I recommend Hoffner basis for an instrument on the size, but you'll be surprised. My violin is a Mezin Colin 1926, I bought for AU $ 1200 I have evaluated for AU $ 30,000 insured.
Go figure ...
Why are you sure it works .. Ask builders classical stringed instruments like the Stradivarius .. I am sure that their violins and violas and IL Chola La Coka Peppsie dip ..
GEEUS, where people with these ideas? Alcoholic drinks are acidic and these do you think the impact will be the acid on the wood in his masterpiece, say, 5 years.?
You can not build a violin is a rare quality, because the wood into fine grade instruments can even be purchased by the public.
